minutes approved with corrections.
Crime
Prevention
Katherine reported that 3 burglars were
apprehended who appear to be directly connected to the Division area. There also was a break-in at Showcase Music
on 34th & Hawthorne.
Annual
Meeting
The annual meeting was fabulous, and
our restaurants and businesses were extremely generous. Darice deserves special thanks. It is a successful model to build upon. Katherine suggests a committee for planning
next year’s annual meeting. Sue moved
that D/CBA give Darice a $50 gift certificate as thanks. Seconded and passed. Craig abstained due to perceived conflict of
interest.
Street
Fair
Work is being started on this year’s
Street Fair.
Eco Shuttle will be approached

Urban Wellness Group is having a Grand
Opening on April 19th.
The Re-Direct Guide is coming out.
Palio’s
at 1996 SE Ladd has expanded for additional seating.
Priced Right
is gone. The rumor is the plans are to
have upstairs offices and 2 restaurants.
Oregon Theater
– Owner’s numbers are disconnected.
HAND
The LUBA hearing is February 21st. Loprinzi’s is still fighting. A pilates
studio has opened in former vegan grocery.
The PDOT Clinton Bicycle Blvd. will be
discussed at tonight’s meeting.
Portland Plan conversations,
waiting until April to start meeting with the Transportation planner,
Art Pierce, taking a wait see attitude on the Burnside Bridgehead site
plans. We need to encourage business
that can get along with the community.
Community Connect is being worked on and we should all get familiar with
it.
APNBA
The Executive Director has been hired,
John Turnio. We are moving into our new
office.
D/CBA has received a $2000 grant for
the website. We need a planning
committee. Who updates it? Meet at Scott’s, Rin, Jason, and Ruth check
out Mississippi Avenue’s website.
