The Shell station has been vandalized
with super glue in the credit card slots.
Networking
April 30th, from 4 – 6pm at
Clinton Corner Café, presentation on Clinton Bike Blvd.
Katherine asked that each person
recruit 3 people to be there.
People’s Co-op wants to do a kick off
for the summer with an event in June perhaps.

Four people’s designs have been chosen
to look at for the bike boulevard.
Announcements
Animal rights activists will be demonstrating
at the clinic on April 23rd from 12 – 2. www.whitecoats.org.

Street Fair – July 26th – Commerce and
Community
From 12th – 60th
on Division, and 14th – 27th on Clinton
House Call Providers has been chosen as
the 2008 street fair beneficiary. We
will also do a canned food & toiletries collection at OHSU’s Richmond
Clinic. Legos also at OHSU with the
bike locks, helmets and information.
Jean is looking for a spot for the Lions Van between 31st –
34th.
The Art of the Similar art contest –
entry cost, $5 for adults, $2 under 12 yrs to go to the fair beneficiary.

50,000 of the minis were printed. Had 30 businesses last time and hope for 40
next time and twice the size.
Would like to have more of a
partnership with and between the districts.
100 people/day and climbing on their web site. Can click on the business logo and go to its website but share a
base. 360° tours, and e-mail blasts. Can have a website on mapclicks.com.
Need to distribute the local shopping
card to at least 50,000 people. They’ve
created a co-op mailing with scratch-its on it and it seems to be working on
Alberta, in NW Portland, and Hawthorne area.
Good for 90 days, 8% return in usage. Printing has gone up, looking for
sponsors for it, too. If not a member
$395, D/CBA Member $295. Nancy will
post on the list serve. The Division
Street website exists now at mapclicks.com.

Two meetings. Divided up the sections.
Joe & Darice are doing history.
Will connect w/HAND. Working on
a news page as a blog. Gmail account
set up. Jonathan & Katherine will
be the administrators. dcbanews@gmail.com, dcbanews.blogspot.com. Rss feeds – specialty news comes to you.
Ruth is exploring the ways to put together
the directory.
Can imbed a Google map within the D/CBA
website. On May 9th there is
a workshop on the duple system.
Goals – measure of success needed. What are the values? Internet presence seminar.
Yelp – website to find businesses. Write reviews.
Members will get more than a plain
listing. Could down load pdf’s of their
menu, etc.
Jonathan Legare, 12th – 17th,
Clinton to Powell, Ambassador. Claudia
and Sam will be working on the linking and search engine part.

HAND
6:30 Developer rezoning of 20th
& Market for zone change. Concern
regarding traffic issues. Planning
Bureau – Central City planning downtown to SE 12th. Roll out of the
new recycling carts will happen soon.
Tabor Commons – 57th &
Division getting ready to dig up the asphalt and remove the tanks.
Taggart Basin $10,000 grants available.
Tom Armstrong, planning bureau liaison
is looking at a possible spot rezoning at the west end of Hawthorne. Urban design help for 7 Corners perhaps, and
some other street design issues with possible available end of year
dollars. Resounding yes!
Clean-up April 26th at
Cleveland High School from 9 – 1pm.
APNBA
The open house was great. Jon Turino the new executive director has
visited 17 BDAs this month. Susan
moved, it was seconded and passed to pay $25 for Katherine to attend the APNBA
Annual meeting.
Announcement
– developing an on-site federal supplied pharmacy geared for their clinic
clients with no insurance. The security
issues will need to be dealt with as well as the cost and dispensing fee. 40% of the patients are at 100% federal
poverty level and below.
