Loprinzi's has appealed to the Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA). LUBA will make a decision in mid February In the meantime, Stan Amy the building owner and the syngery fitness group have agreed to confine the fitness center primarily to the second floor of the building and develop the first floor into four to six retail spaces.
3/2/08 - LUBA sent the question back to to city, asking them to define "local service."
5/2/08 - Waiting for the City.
7/17/08 - Division/Clinton and both Hosford Abernethy and Richmond neighborhoods have written letters of support for a plan to make a "code adjustment" in the Division/Street/Green Street plan that would make it easier for existing buildings to convert to retail without having to rebuild. The correction goes before City Council in August and will likely be approved in Setpember or October.
